Services honoring the life of Charles “Charlie” Emory Richey, 84, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at United Pentecostal Church of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Interment followed at Pelican Cemetery in Pelican, Louisiana. Officiating the service were Brother Dohon and Brother Dupree.

Charlie was born to Marion and Velma Richey in Coushatta, Louisiana on December 21st, 1936 and entered into eternal rest on December 5th, 2021 in Paragould, Arkansas. Charlie was a resi

Charlie was a resident of Paragould, Arkansas and lived as a Godly man for many years of his life. Originally from Pelican, Louisiana, Charlie attended and graduated from Pelican High School. A hard worker, he eventually found work in the oilfield before answering his true calling to be a missionary of God. He shared the gospel and reached as far as Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, and Arkansas. He raised his children right and was sure to teach them about God. Charlie loved to spend his time sitting and reading his bible, listening to music, and being a good Christian influence on all he met.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Verna Gable, Ruby Burns, Maggie Barnes, Mallie Litton, Carrie Laffitte, and infant sister, Doris Richey; son, Charles Michael Richey; grandchildren, Joseph Nathaniel Richey and Belinda Richey; and his great-grandson, Tyson Stuard.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Patricia Cooper, Barbara Wedgeworth, and Saralene Touchton; daughters, Charlotte Cooke, Debra Carter and husband, Robbie, and Rebecca Herrington; grandchildren, Charlene Cooke, Casandra Arnette and husband, Nathan, Jesse Stuard and wife, Karen, Jeremy Stuard and partner, Misty Brooks, Caleb Herrington and wife, Angel, Daniel Carter, Dustin Travis; greatgrandchildren, Laken Stuard, Zoey Stuard, Thad Travis, Braydon Stuard, Sofia Stuard, Dawson Stuard, Addison Arnette, Faith Stuard, Hunter Arnette, and Dawson Brooks; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.

Honoring Charlie as pallbearers were Jesse Stuard, Daniel Carter, Andy Blankenship, Bill Blankenship, Henry Touchton, and Arthur Touchton. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Stuard, Caleb Herrington, Robbie Carter, and Chester Burns.
