VIOLA MANNING PATTERSON

Our beloved mother, Viola Manning Patterson, age 102, left this world to enter her heavenly home and into the sweet arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at her home.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time. Officiating was Bro. Mike Gamble of the Mansfield Church of Christ. Interment followed in Centuries Memorial Park. Honoring Mother as pallbearers were Steven Patterson, Derek Patterson, Michael Patterson, Cody Patterson, Dale McPhearson, and

Michael Campbell. Viola was born on July 1, 1919 to Lee and Emma Manning in Malvern, Arkansas. She is survived by two sons, Curtis Patterson and wife, Judy, and Mike Patterson; two daughters, Carolyn Price and Martha McPhearson, and husband Ricky; ten grandchildren, Steven Patterson, Shari Bates, Derek Patterson, Jennifer Woodward, Matthew Price, Michael Patterson, Whitney Patterson, Cody Patterson, Dale McPhearson, and Corrie Campbell; sixteen greatgrandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Jean Turnage.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Paul Patterson, her parents, four brothers, and two sisters.

She devoted her life to her family, loving and caring for her husband, who was ill prior to his death. She loved the Lord, serving as a mighty prayer warrior for her family and friends. She loved each one dearly. Viola was a longtime faithful member of the Mansfield Church of Christ in Mansfield, Louisiana.

There are no words to express the family’s heartfelt gratitude to Larissa Arbuckle with Superior Hospice, the staff of Superior Hospice, and friends for their prayers, love and support shown to Mother and the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to the Mansfield Church of Christ.
