CAROLYN DIANE MCDANIEL GRAHAM
Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Carolyn Diane McDaniel Graham, 67, were held at 2:00 pm on November 9, 2021 at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Officiating the service was Brother Tommy Allen.
Carolyn was born to John Thomas McDaniel and her mother on February 15, 1954 in Duluth, Georgia and entered into eternal rest on October 31, 2021 in Longstreet, Louisiana.
Carolyn was a resident of Stonewall, Louisiana for 25 years before moving to Longstreet in 2019. Originally from Georgia, Carolyn moved to Shreveport where she met her beloved husband, Noel Keith Graham, in 1973. They married in 1976 and were together for 45 happy years. They built a life together and had two children, “Brian” and “Cristy”. She was a loving wife and mother and spent her younger years raising children. She and her husband always dedicated their time to church activities as members of various local churches. Carolyn also enjoyed spending time with friends and being mother figure to any and all who darkened her doorstep. Later in life, she began a career in microfilming finding a work home at LSU HSC as a Medial Record Supervisor for 15 years until her early retirement. You could often find her watching Shirley Temple or the Golden Girls. She loved everyone she met until you crossed her, then she would show you that “dynamite comes in small packages.” Carolyn was a loving soul, yet a force to be reckoned with. She spent the last of her days at home with her beloved husband and passed peacefully in her sleep. She will be deeply missed but the love she showed to anyone she met, will continue to shine through her memory. The sky is missing a bright shining star without her.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; Aunt Sarah Senie McDaniel Crosson and her beloved friend, Steve Knotts. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Noel Keith Graham; brother, Charles “Charlie” David McDaniel; son, Noel Brian Graham; daughter, Crystal Graham Basco; grandchildren, Gabriella Inez Basco and Charles Moreland Basco, III and her lifelong friends, Thelma “Becky” Boswell, Vernon Cris Wilkerson and Donna Paris Price.
