Services celebrating the life of Emmett D. Renois, Jr., 89, were held on Friday, October 8th, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St., Mansfield Louisiana. Burial followed at Grove Hill Cemetery, in Mansfield, Louisiana. A visitation was held from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Officiating the service was Reverend Bob Latham.

Emmett was born on May 11, 1932 to Willie Paxton Renois and Emmett Renois, Sr. in Pelican, Louisiana and was called home to be with the Lord on the evening of Saturday, October 2, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Emmett was born in the town of Pelican, Louisiana where he loved to spend his days. He was a resident of Golden Meadow, Louisiana, where he raised his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and devoted a large portion of his life to working for Conoco, Inc. Upon retirement, he spent most of his days enjoying life with his family. Emmett was a devout Christian, a hard-working man, a great provider, a husband, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will truly be missed by everyone who loved him.

Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Paxton Renois, Emmett D. Renois, Sr. and Alice Terrebonne Renois; son, Aaron Scott Renois; daughter, Roxanne Renois Borne and sister, Julia Marie Bradley. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Enola C. Renois; daughter, Terri Renois Callais and husband, Tim; granddaughters Alaina Borne Demere and husband Kory, Madeline Callais, Ellen Callais; brothers Theodore Renois and wife, Joycelyn, Murphy Renois and wife, Earline, Raymond Renois and wife, Marilyn, and his sister, Thelma Renois.
