4/02/57 – 10/06/21

Karl Wade “Bo” Foley, 64, of Logansport, Louisiana, passed away on October 6, 2021. Karl was born on April 2, 1957, to Billy Wyan Woods Foley and Kenneth Joe Foley in St. Augustine, Texas. Bo attended school, played sports, and developed life-long friendships at Logansport High School, in Logansport, Louisiana where he graduated in 1975. Bo spent his young adult life in Logansport where he enjoyed water skiing, boating, and life on Toledo Bend with friends and family.

Bo married and had two daughters, Samantha and Fallon, with his wife Terri. He was a dedicated and proud father, who coached little league, attended dance and gymnastics recitals, cheered on his cheerleaders from the sidelines on Friday nights, and was there to support his daughters in every academic endeavor.

Bo was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Logansport where he volunteered as a Sunday school teacher for teens and served as an usher during Sunday services. He was a diehard fan of the Logansport Tiger football team and the Dallas Cowboys.

Bo worked in the residential and commercial air conditioning and heating industry for many years and later became a service technician for Meyn America. Bo loved his time working for Meyn, as he was able to travel across much of North America including Canada, and abroad to European and South American countries including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Brazil. He loved to explore new places and enjoyed adding stamps to his passport.

Later, after extensive travel, Bo settled in Shreveport, Louisiana, and enjoyed time with his family, especially his two grandsons, Karson and Reid. Life brought a number of health challenges, but Bo kept a positive outlook and fought hard every day. His loving family was by his side throughout these years.

Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Joe Foley and Billy Wyan Woods Nixon, his paternal grandparents, J.T. and Exa Bell Foley, and his maternal grandparents, Bartie and Minnie Woods.

Left to cherish Bo’s memory and tell his stories are his family: Daughters, Samantha Foley and Fallon Wilkerson and husband Dillion, his beloved grandsons, Karson and Reid Wilkerson, his former wife and friend, Terri Foley, his former mother-in-law, Suanne Bogle, his sister, Gwen Foley Bruhnke-McMartin and husband Ken, niece, Karlie Cox and husband David, nephews, Ben Bruhnke and wife Frances, and Zach Bruhnke and wife Abigail, great-nieces, Savannah Urda, Suzie Cox, and Cecily Bruhnke and greatnephews, Tyler Cox and Emerson Bruhnke, along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to his caretaker Earnestine “Rena” Ashley who became like family to him. They also deeply appreciate his team of doctors and medical professionals for the compassionate care provided to Bo over the years, and especially during his battle with cancer.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bo will take place Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 2:00 PM, with visitation at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Logansport in Logansport, Louisiana.

The family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Logansport or the Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation.
