A memorial service celebrating the life of Marsha Anders, 66, was held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, Louisiana with Bro. Azell Ott, Jr. officiating. Marsha was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She left this world on September 9, 2021.

She was born to Thomas Joshua and Marjorie Paul on June 17, 1955. After graduating from high school Marsha went on to college and received a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern State University. She didn’t stop there, and received a Master of Arts degree from Louisiana Tech as well as a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. Marsha was also a licensed clinical social worker. She always knew she wanted to be a social worker; she loved people and wanted to make a difference.

Marsha loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her son Thomas Joshua McCall (TJ). He was the light of her life. Then she met Jim Anders and made him her husband. She took him and his children on as her own. She loved her Mardi Gras family as well, dressing up and having a night out especially as Demeter’s Queen V. She was so loved and will be missed by so many. There wasn’t a person she met that she didn’t touch their lives in some way.

Marsha was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Joshua McCall, and her parents, Thomas Joshua and Marjorie Paul.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jim Anders, her stepchildren Jason and Kristie Cook, Cassie and Ceirra Anders, Zachary and Vicki Brewster, and Clint and Stephanie Caldwell as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her special fur babies that brightened her days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Louisiana Lions Camp at 292 L. Beauford Dr, Anacoco, Louisiana 71403.

“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.”
