The Lognaport Tigers welcomed District 3-1A foe Montgomery for a Regional Playoff game this past Friday. Earlier this season Loganpsport travel to Montgomery and came away with a 20-6 win. Win the game was win or go home, the hometown Tigers ended Montgomery’s season with a 42-6 win. With the win the Tigers now fae the West St John Rams for the 3rd straight season. Gametime will be 7:00 Friday night in Edgard, LA.
On their second play from scrimmage the Tigers began their road to the quarterfinals. Key’savlyn Barnes scored on 1 40 yard, where he broke several tackles, to put the Tigers on the board. Brayden Bennett added the extra point for a 7-0 lead with 11:40 to play in the 1st quarter. The Tigers second drive ended when quarterback Jace Shoalmire scored untouched on a 23 yard run. The extra point failed and the lead was 13-0.
