On Tuesday March 16, the Lady Panther traveled to Benton to take on the Lady Tigers.
Stanley was able to come away with a hard fought 12-11 win after plating the winning run in the top of the 7th inning. Alyssa Gooden got the start for the Lady Panthers and went 5 and one-third innings allowing 10 runs. Tori Holmes picked up the win in relief going 1 two-third innings and only allowing 1 run.
Stanley got on the board in the top of the 1st inning when McKinnsey Brouillette singled and Maddie Holmes scored on the play. Jade Jones scored the next run on a passed ball for a 2-0 lead. Brouillette scored the final run of the inning on a passed ball for the 3-0 lead. Benton cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the 1st. Christian Bartin, in the game as a courtesy runner for Gooden, scored on a double to left field by McKayla Williams to push the lead to 4-2. The Lady Tigers tied the game at 4 in the bottom of the 2nd.
