IN LOVING MEMORY OF JOHN WASHINGTON, JR.

Born to the late Edgar Washington, Sr. and the late Aldie M. Boyd Washington in Mansfield, Louisiana, John Washington received his education at DeSoto Parish Train Mr. Washington was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Kimble Washington; his oldest son, John Washington, Jr.; his parents Edgar and Aldie M. Boyd Washington; his brother, Edgar Washington, and sisters, Jeannette Montgomery and Earnestine Washington (Infant).

His memory lives on through his memory his son, Eric (Amy) of Orchard Park, New York; daughter, Angela, of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Rudolph Washington (Ammie) of Shreveport; sisters Christine Washington, Marie Verdin and Shirley Cooper (Isaac), all of Mansfield, Louisiana; his “God Brother,” Col. Emmit Dewitt (Shirley) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one granddaughter, Aya Janine; one grandson, Ellis Gene; brother and sister-in-law Charles and Elaine Williams of Houston, Texas; a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

University of Higher Learning School, class of 1958; Southern University in Baton Rouge; and Louisiana Tech. While studying at Southern University, he met his future wife, Patsy Kimble and from that union, three children were born: John Jr., Eric and Angela.

He served in the United States Air Force, taught at DeSoto High School, Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport and later worked as a Human Resources Administrator at the Caddo Parish School Board and as an Air Force Reservist.

Mr. Washington was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Kimble Washington; his oldest son, John Washington, Jr.; his parents Edgar and Aldie M. Boyd Washington; his brother, Edgar Washington, and sisters, Jeannette Montgomery and Earnestine Washington (Infant).

His memory lives on through his son, Eric (Amy) of Orchard Park, New York; daughter, Angela, of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Rudolph Washington (Ammie) of Shreveport; sisters Christine Washington, E. Marie Washington and Shirley Cooper (Isaac), all of Mansfield, Louisiana; his “God Brother,” Col. Emmit Dewitt (Shirley) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one granddaughter, Aya Janine; one grandson, Ellis Gene; brother and sister-in-law Charles and Elaine Williams of Houston, Texas; one godson, Horace Dickerson III, a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

He is greatly loved and truly missed.
