The Logansport Tigers traveled to Jonesboro this past Friday night to kickoff the 2018 season with a match-up with the Jonesboro- Hodge Tigers. Before the game a LifeCare Helicopter flew the game ball into the stadium and landed at midfield. In a show of sportsmanship, the game ball, which had been signed by the Jonesboro-Hodge football team, was presented to Xavier and Emanuel Simpson in honor of their late brother, Javier Simpson. The Tigers would thank their host by handing them a 41-28 loss to start the season. Logansport used their big play capability to take the win. Offensively the Tigers had 12 plays of over 20 yards. Defensively the Tigers forced Jonesboro into 4 turnovers, 2 interceptions and 2 fumbles.
